Bertelsmann Marketing Services (BMS), a cross-channel full-service provider for the advertising industry, and the German marketing software provider Dymatrix, a leading service provider in the field of customer experience management in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, will cooperate closely in future. As the two companies announced, the aim of the partnership is the establishment of a fully integrated CX solution, including a modern loyalty system. The comprehensive services of Bertelsmann Marketing Services, which range from loyalty services to direct mail automation and campaign operating, data reach, content creation and media services, will be integrated into the Dymatrix Customer Experience Platform.
Sonopress, the international storage media manufacturer, recently became a member of the Vinyl Records Manufacturing Association (VRMA). The VRMA currently has over 48 members from across the vinyl industry, which include not only half the pressing plants in the United States, but also audio companies, plating, mastering, packing, technology, and, of course, record labels.

Sonopress and SK Chemicals agree on cooperation in the field of 100% recycled PET for the EcoRecord Long-Playing Record
Leading storage media manufacturer Sonopress has developed a revolutionary new form of long-playing record that dramatically reduces the environmental impact of the manufacturing process. Neither natural gas nor steam are needed to press the discs, and in test operations the energy savings were up to 85% compared to the conventional process.
For the production of the novel "EcoRecord" LP, recyclable polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is used as the base material instead of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which can also be 100% recycled PET from SK Chemicals.
This allows a significant reduction in carbon emissions - while ensuring the same physical properties and safety as existing PET.

Almost ten billion sound and data carriers in 65 years
The international media service provider Sonopress celebrates its 65th company birthday this weekend. On 22 April 1958, the starting signal was given in Gütersloh for a company that has been one of the most innovative replication service providers worldwide for decades. The celebration will take place with the entire staff and numerous guests from Germany, France, Great Britain and the USA at the Klosterpforte in Marienfeld.
In August 1982, the introduction of the CD ushered in the digitization of the music world. In 1984, Bertelsmann’s subsidiary Sonopress in Gütersloh also began producing CDs and quickly developed into one of Europe’s biggest CD producers. Sometime this year, Sonopress will pass the gargantuan mark of eight billion CDs produced.
The popular cartoon “Micky Maus” from the publisher Egmont Ehapa is now available in Ukrainian for the first time. With help from Mohn Media, a free special was produced for refugee children from Ukraine in Germany. The special has 36 pages and a print run of 5,000 copies. It is distributed at schools and social institutions.
Thuringia’s Minister President Commends GGP For Refugee Aid
Thuringia’s Minister President Bodo Ramelow visited the BPG printing company GGP Media in Pößneck. While there, he learned about a special relief campaign for Ukrainian refugees organized by the GGP workforce. At the beginning of March, a coach had brought donations to the Polish-Ukrainian border, and from there 45 refugees to Pößneck.

Sonopress and Topac enter into the production of face masks
Replication specialists from Sonopress and packaging experts from Topac have combined their know-how and developed their own face shield. The result of the collaboration is a reusable protective mask consisting of a clear polyester film, a spacer and an adjustable strap that can be used to fix the construction to the head.

Eight years ago, the print and media services provider Mohn Media rebuilt its advertising brochure product line. Today, Dirk Kemmerer, CEO of Mohn Media and Digital Marketing of the Bertelsmann Printing Group, sees the brochure business as one of the company’s most important mainstays.
GGP Media printed the German edition of Michelle Obama’s memoir “Becoming.” During the production phase, the strictest safety precautions were in force at the Pößneck site. In the U.S., the home market, printing was also handled by Bertelsmann Printing Group companies: Coral Graphics and Berryville Graphics.
Books by Mohn Media are now available in the U.S. as well. The Gütersloh-based printing house produced the memoirs of the “Beastie Boys,” for Spiegel & Grau, a Penguin Random House imprint. This is its first major contract in the United States and at the same time a testament to good internal collaboration at Bertelsmann.

Sony Music Awards CD Production for Hong Kong to Sonopress
Sony Music, one of the top three music majors, has signed a long-term partnership agreement with the international media service provider Sonopress, to exclusively manufacture CDs for the Asian market in Hong Kong. The new contract significantly expands the companies’ successful partnership. After the European and Mexican markets, the Asian economic region is now also supplied with storage media “made by Sonopress”.
